Porter, Katherine Anne

Hacienda [First State w/ Erratum Slip]

Camden, New Jersey: Harrison of Paris, 1934. First Edition, First State.

First edition. Scarce first issue with original misprint on page 52 and erratum slip laid in beside the error. 8vo; Brick red cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Lacking slipcase. Top edge gilt. One of 895 copies, of which this is #174; 81pp. Binding is near fine with light fading to margins and a few faint blemishes to boards. There is a small imprint of what looks like a decorative blind stamp on the title page, just below the title (see picture). It is quite subtle, and its origins are unclear to me, but it appears accidental. A few light smudges to the foredge. The textblock is otherwise clean and bright.
